A wonderful day to you all. Today i will be talking on how to wake or recover your dead or fried qsat decoder in less than a minute.
Apart from the physical part of a decoder that we can see, every other part of a qsat or any other satellite decoder is centered on a particular software so installation of software that is not compact-able can lead to a dead or fried decoder.
So in recovering your fried qsat, we need to backup the firmware of a live qsat with the same model as yours...
- insert a virus free usb pen-drive / storage device (this can be an external HDD or a USB flash drive)
- On your remote navigate to Menu==Upgrade==USB/Card Upgrade==press ok twice( this will open your usb device)
- Now press the favorite button on your remote(the FAV button enables you to download the whole flash file which is about 8.04mb)
- You are done, your firmware will be stored as flashfile.bin
- Change the file name from flashfile.bin to rom.bin before inserting the flash drive to your fried decoder.
- After doing the above, put off your qsat and insert your usb flash containing only the rom.bin file in it.
- Then put ON your decoder and the flashing process starts automatically. that all
Please sir, am asking for flashfile.bin for qsat q28g.my receiver is only displaying the qsat logo and then the blue screen. Thanks in advance
